A tornado hit the central Iowa town of Parkersburg on Sunday evening trapping several people in structures. Another tornado hit near Dunkerton, about 40 miles east of Parkersburg, causing considerable damage as the storm moved eastward. Marble-sized hail fell near Waterloo, Iowa, where there was significant damage to homes, trees and power lines. A tornado also hit Hugo, Minnesota, a northern suburb of Minneapolis, killing one with 20 persons still missing. Two people were found dead in south-central Kansas on Saturday in a car accident that authorities said was caused by a tornado.
