Pollen levels across Eastern North Carolina have come down slightly over the past couple of days due to showers. However, the problem with many kinds of pollen will be with us for the next few weeks. The greatest problem for now is with grass pollen, tree pollen and mold spores as their counts remain in the moderate range. These levels will likely rise over the next few days due to increasingly dry conditions. No significant rainfall is expected through Memorial Day Weekend and that could mean more sneezing and whizzing until the next big rain arrives.
