There will be a possibility of severe weather in some portions of Eastern North Carolina on Friday. Unstable air and an approaching cold front could produce some thunderstorms on Friday, with some of those storms becoming severe. Strong winds, hail and an isolated tornado are possible with one round of storms in the morning with another round possible later in the afternoon as the cold front pushes to the coast. Any storms should end by Friday evening followed by partly cloudy skies and somewhat cooler air for Saturday. By Sunday another strong storm will bring another risk of strong to severe thunderstorms by evening. Stay tuned to WITN-TV for all the latest weather information throughout the day and night.
