More Rain Expected

Another bout of rain is headed into Eastern North Carolina overnight as an area of low pressure continues to move slowly eastward along the North Carolina coast. The storm produced two tornadoes in Beaufort County on Sunday along with some hail. On Monday there were several reports of hail but no tornadoes or wind damage. Some areas have already experienced heavy rain since late Saturday night. Reports as of 9:00 pm Monday are as follows:

Cape Hatteras - 2.90"
Manteo - 1.93"
Ahoskie - 1.91"
Elizabeth City - 1.74"
Greenville - 1.21"
Edenton - 1.18"
Washington - 1.13"
New Bern - 0.79"
Jacksonville - 0.67"
