From Duplin, Lenoir, Beaufort and Jones -they all had reports of trees down, power outages and/or structures damaged.

In the town of Deep Run in Lenoir County, one family discovered their barn flatten by the strong winds.

The two story building was leveled by what the National Weather Service has called a weak tornado.

Around four Saturday morning, Kay Johnson and her family heard the wind shaking the windows and doors of their home.

Johnson says the force of wind swung her back door open, and when she got up to close it, she notice the debris all over the yard.

"We all got up and we're dressed in case anything really happens again and we thought it was coming back and we were fixing to get covered and get prepared for it but it didn't it kind of went on away and thank God it did."

Johnson says she and her family we're shocked and scared but they're all pleased the tornado stopped at the barn and didn't hit their home.
