The director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be in southeast Missouri on Thursday to tour areas damaged by this month's flooding.
David Paulison is tentatively scheduled to tour Allenville,
Dutchtown and Poplar Bluff. That's according to the office of U.S.
Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, the Republican from Cape Girardeau.
Emerson toured the flooded region last week with Col. Lewis
Setliff of the Army Corps of Engineers. She says the flood will
take a huge toll on southeast Missouri's economy.
Seventy Missouri counties, including all of Emerson's district,
have been declared federal disaster areas.
