A late season cold snap it hitting the Southeast on Monday night and early Tuesday. Freeze warnings have been posted for early Tuesday in much of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, northern Florida and portions of North Carolina. Temperatures are expected to dip to the freezing mark are slightly below for a few hours early Tuesday. The freeze could damage some of the fruit crops in the Southeast causing food prices to soar even higher this spring and summer. A slow warming trend should follow the cold starting on Tuesday afternoon. By late week afternoon highs will surge well into the 70s in all of the Southeast.
