Heavy rain and thunderstorms moved across areas of Florida through much of the day yesterday and into the night. Roads were flooded across Palm Beach County where a reported 3.5" of rain fell.
A trained spotter in Palm Beach County stated that streets and backyards were flooded with water up to a persons knees. There were reports of 3.1" across areas of Broward County.
Fort Lauderdale hit a new rainfall amount record with this
activity reaching 0.94" of rain. With the storms moving across the
area, there was even a report of a water spout that lasted
approximately 6 minutes 3 miles southeast of Boca Chica NAS
