Winter Chill To Return By Easter

Seasonably mild weather continued across Eastern North Carolina on Friday with highs in the middle 60s. Temperatures should warm into the lower to middle 70s on Saturday but much cooler air will arrive by Sunday morning. A cold front will pass off the North Carolina coast Saturday evening followed by a winter chill. Temperatures on Easter will struggle into the middle 50s with northerly winds at 10 to 20 mph giving us a wind chill in the 40s. Heavy jackets and sweaters will feel good for those Easter Sunrise services. It will stay chilly until the middle of next week when a warming trend should get underway. Afternoon temperatures should be close to 70 by the end of the week.
