Temperatures differences from north to south across the United States were quite high on Friday. The highest temperature across the contiguous 48 United States was 105 degrees in Laredo, Texas while not too far away in McAllen the afternoon high was 104. Meanwhile frigid air was well established across the Northeast where Frenchville, Maine plummeted to 0. Also, during the past 24 hours Pompano Beach, Florida received the most rainfall at nearly 3 inches. The heaviest rainfall on Saturday is expected in the southeastern United States.
