The middle of March is notable for major storms and high winds but late week weather across the North Carolina can be summed up in one word - beautiful. The quiet weather pattern will persist into Friday with highs reaching well into the 70s by late Friday afternoon. There will be plenty of sunshine on Thursday along with light winds. By Friday afternoon winds will pick up from the southwest and a few clouds will dot the sky. A strong cold front will pass through the state late Saturday giving us the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Clearing skies and much cooler temperatures will arrive for Saturday night and Sunday.
