For the second night in a row a hard freeze is expected across Eastern North Carolina. On Wednesday night temperatures dipped into the middle to upper 20s across the area. Some overnight lows included:
Rocky Mount - 25
Ahoskie - 25
Elizabeth City - 25
Washington - 26
Goldsboro - 26
Kenansville - 27
Edenton - 27
New Bern - 27
Jacksonville - 27
By sunrise Friday most areas will once again fall into the middle to upper 20s although cloud cover moving in from the west may cause temperatures to slowly rise by daybreak. Warmer air will invade the area on Friday sending temperatures warming into the 50s. Over the weekend skies should be mostly sunny with daytime highs near 60.
