Another major winter storm is lashing the Midwest and Northeast on Tuesday night. The storm has brought more snow to areas that have received record snowfall this winter. On Monday Madison, Wisconsin broke its all-time record snowfall of 76.1 inches by adding 3 more for a total of 79 inches. Since December 1, it has snowed 41 times in Madison, taking a toll on everyone in the city, especially streets employees working 16-hour days plowing streets and fixing potholes. Cities such as Chicago and Detroit are having an unusually snowy winter as well. Additional snow is almost certain during the last two months of winter. The current storm is giving New York City and much of the Northeast significant snow and ice.
