Eastern North Carolina will experience sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday as dry conditions persist. On Saturday southwesterly winds will usher in warmer temperatures with most places reaching into the middle to upper 60s. By Sunday afternoon a strong cold front will push through the area causing winds to shift northwesterly and allowing colder temperatures to move in by evening. Sunday's highs should still reach 60 under sunny skies. Overnight lows will bottom out in the upper 30s on Saturday and Sunday night. The next chance for rain is not likely until the middle of next week.
