Mild Weekend On Tap For Eastern North Carolina

A mild and almost springlike weekend is expected across Eastern North Carolina and the Southeast. Temperatures will reach near 60 on Saturday and into the middle 60s by Sunday afternoon. Sunshine will be plentiful each day with light winds. Rainfall is still needed but the next chance is not likely before Tuesday. Rainfall amounts on Friday were generally between a quarter and half-inch with a few spots somewhat over a half-inch. Some rainfall totals included:

Rocky Mount - .73"
Goldsboro - .70"
Greenville - .47"
Washington - .43"
Harkers Island - .38"
Jacksonville - .35"
New Bern - .34"
Kinston - .33"
Manteo - .32"
