Temperatures Still Averaging Above Normal

Eastern North Carolina is experiencing a mild winter with temperatures averaging about 2 degrees above normal since December 1. December was a warm month with temperatures averaging about 4 degrees above normal So far in January the temperature has averaged near normal. The weather pattern appears mild in the Southeast for the next week to 10 days assuring a continuation of the winter trend through the first week of February.
