A area of low pressure will develop along the southern coast of Texas of Friday and move to the North Carolina coast on Saturday night. At the same time much colder air will be moving southward into North Carolina. The storm will gain strength near the North Carolina coast with heavy rain expected there. Well inland the rain should change to snow Saturday afternoon or evening and could produce a few inches of the white stuff. It is too early to determine where the snow will fall or how much so stay tuned to WITN for the latest weather information throughout the day and night.
