Search for possible avalanche victims called off for night

HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- The search for more avalanche victims in
Montana is set to resume when the sun comes up Tuesday.
It has been called off for the night.
About 100 people used poles to probe the snow in an effort to
find anyone trapped. Dogs and a helicopter also assisted in the
Two skiers were killed, and there are reports that two others
might have been caught by the snow slide. So far, no one has been
officially reported missing.
The avalanche tore down trees and left snow 20 to 25 feet deep.
Officials say they had to blast away an unsafe snow mass near the
avalanche site.
