Chill Expected To Return By Weekend

Once again today temperatures soared above 70 degrees in much of inland Eastern North Carolina. It makes the third day in a row that temperatures have surpassed the 70 degree mark. No record highs were set on Wednesday afternoon but it certainly felt more like spring than winter. By the weekend cooler air will begin to filter into the state and by Sunday temperatures will return to seasonably cool conditions. Highs across the area for Wednesday included the following:

Jacksonville - 74
Kenansville - 73
New Bern - 73
Havelock - 73
Washington 72
Greenville - 72
Elizabeth City - 72
Kinston - 72
Edenton - 70
Goldsboro - 70
