Drop by Drop We're Easing the Drought

Wednesday brought an average of one inch of rain to all of Eastern Carolina with some spots seeing up to 2.5".

When this is combined with several other rain events this month, we're starting to see the totals adding up. Most locations have already seen 2 to 4 inches of rain so far this month.

Those amounts are quite a turn around when compared to the .5" amounts that were common for the entire month of November.

It certainly does not mean the drought is over, but shower by shower is the best the way to climb out of a drought.

Several more chance of rain are looking likely before the end of the year.
