Several quakes hit Alaska's Aleutian Islands

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Two small earthquakes have hit Alaska's
remote Aleutian Islands, a day after two significant temblors
struck.
There are no reports of damage or injuries.
Today's quakes are probably aftershocks of a magnitude 7.2 quake
that hit the sparsely populated island chain Tuesday. Two other
quakes -- at magnitude 5.9 and 6.1 -- struck about one minute apart
yesterday.
One scientist calls the quake activity "unusual" for the
seismically active island chain. He says they'll merit some closer
study.
No tsunami warnings are expected.
