Coldest Night Since Last Winter

Monday night was the coldest night across much of Eastern North Carolina since last February. Clear skies and light winds enabled temperatures to drop well down into the 20s, with a few spots reaching the upper teens. Temperatures will return to normal for the remainder of the week. Overnight lows included the following:

Kenansville - 18
Jacksonville - 18
Kinston - 19
Rocky Mount - 19
Greenville - 21
Ahoskie - 21
Goldsboro - 21
New Bern - 22
Washington - 23
Elizabeth City - 24
Edenton - 25
Morehead City - 31
Manteo - 32
Cape Hatteras - 37
