Eastern North Carolina continued to experience well above normal temperatures on Wednesday. Today was the second day this week that saw temperatures rising to record levels. The highest temperature recorded across the state was the Raleigh-Durham Airport where the temperature jumped to a record 79 degrees. Greenville - 77
Kinston - 77
Temperatures should reach 70 or higher on Thursday followed by a cooling trend into the weekend. There will also be a chance for much needed rain on Saturday.
