NC Drought Worsens

Drought conditions worsen across Eastern Carolina.

The National Drought Mitigation Center released Wednesday that exceptional and extreme drought conditions have moved back into parts of Eastern Carolina.

Parts Nash and Wilson county are under extreme conditions. Duplin, Wayne, Lenior, Greene, Pitt, Edgecomb and parts of Wilson and Halifax counties are in the extreme category.
