Today's Weather History

In 1972, a major coastal storm struck New England, dumping heavy
amounts of snow over the region. 18 inches of wet snow fell in
Vermont and New Hampshire.
In 1987, the high temperature reached 68 degrees at Washington,
D.C., just 3 days after receiving nearly 3 feet of snow.
In 1995, an early season snowstorm dropped 20 to 30 inches of
snow of the Appalachians and portions of the Northeast. Thirty-two
inches fell at Somerset County, Pennsylvania, while 28 inches fell
at Garrett County, Maryland.
