A quick stop for a snack made a Greenville man a big winner in the North Carolina Education Lottery.
Jeff Cowan stopped at a store on Highway 70 in Garner for some crackers and a soda, and walked away $200,000 richer. Cowan says he bought one "$200,000 Jackpot" ticket with his change.
Cowan scratched off the ticket while sitting in his truck. When he saw the numbers 11 and 7 show up, he thought it would be his lucky ticket since he's born on November 7th.
The Greenville man says he doesn't have any immediate plans for the big prize, other than to relax.

Don't fall victim to the "curse of the lottery" that has affected so many winners. Instant wealth has many downfalls.
