Please make sure to join the Honorable Pat McCrory, Governor of North Carolina; The Honorable Bob Steinburg, NC House of Representatives; Secretary Susan Kluttz, Department of Cultural Resources; Secretary Anthony Tata, Department of Transportation; Secretary Kieran Shanahan, Department of Public Safety; Dr. Kevin Cherry, Deputy Secretary Department of Cultural Resources; Mr. Tony Almeida, Senior Advisor to the Governor on Jobs and the Economy; Chloe Gossage, Governor’s Policy Director; Bob Stephens, Governor Chief Legal Counsel; Ms. Sarah Koonts, State Archivist and Keeper of the State Seal; Chairman Keith Nixon, Chowan County Board of Commissioners; The Honorable Roland Vaughan, Mayor of Edenton; and Councilman Bob Quinn, Chairman, 300th Anniversary Planning Committee as they meet the 1713 Royal Governor, Governor Charles Eden and Celebrate Edenton’s 300th Anniversary on the “1767 Chowan County Courthouse Green”. (Swain Auditorium in case of rain.)



This event is Free and Open to the Public beginning at 10:30 am with interactive demonstrations of the Meherrin Tribe, Colonial-attired guides, music provided by a brass quintet composed of students from the ECU School of Music along with food and beverage vendors set up along the Green.



Join us as the 1713 Royal Governor and the 2013 North Carolina come together to celebrate 300 years of history in what Forbes.com calls “One of America’s Prettiest Towns”, Edenton, North Carolina.
