Lupus Foundation Support Group

Onslow County Memorial Hospital, 317 Western Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28546
The support group meets on the second Monday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Education Building, Classroom 1. There is no charge to attend the meeting, and drop-ins are welcome. Contact the LFANC at info@lupusnc.org or at 877-849-8271, ext. 2. For more information, visit www.lupusnc.org.

This group provides participants with an opportunity to receive introductory information about lupus, encourage the expression of concerns, provide an opportunity to share experiences, encourage and support positive coping strategies, and emphasize the importance of medical treatment. Meeting programs vary from guest speakers to DVD presentations and open group discussion.

Helping Adolescents Cope With Loss

The webinar program from the Hospice Foundation of America, is sponsored by Carolina East Health System, Craven County Health Department Home Health-Hospice and Cotton Funeral Home. The program will explore ways in which healthcare workers, hospices, educators, social workers, counselors, clergy, funeral directors and other professionals can assist adolescents coping with illness and death. There is no cost for the program, but registration is requested at: www.carolinaeasthealth.com/events. Continuing Education Credits are Available at a nominal cost to the participant.

"Living on After Loss" Grief Support Group Series

McConnell-Rabb American Cancer Society Hope Lodge 930-A Wellness Dr. Greenville, NC
The next "Living on After Loss" grief support group series begins on Thursday, July 17th. The group meets at the McConnell-Rabb American Cancer Society Hope Lodge located at 930-A Wellness Dr. in Greenville from 5:30 until 7pm. This 8 week support group for adults who have experienced a loss from any cause is free of charge but preregistration is required.
