United Way of Onslow County is proud to present the Vine & Dine: A Taste of the Town Event. Enhancing our signature wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser, Vine & Dine is a gourmet tasting event that features local restaurants and beverage purveyors.
The event doesn’t stop at fine wine, craft beer and delectable food– attendees will also enjoy music throughout the evening and bidding in a first-class silent auction. Vine & Dine will be a fun night of sophistication and celebration. Building off the success from the 2014 Vine & Dine, we look forward to an even bigger event in 2015! Vine & Dine is open to interested sponsors, restaurants, wineries, and/or breweries looking to participate.

The Pitt Community College Foundation will host its annual spring scholarship fundraising event "Accelerating the Future" March 6th, 2015 at 6:30pm in the PCC Construction & Industrial Technology Building.
Attendees will enjoy dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Coinciding with this year's automotive theme, attendees will also tour luxury and specialty exhibit cars such as a Ferrari, Porsche, El Camino, and much more!
Tickets are available for a charitable donation of $75 per person, or a table of 10 for $750 (limited seating available). Proceeds from this event go toward student scholarships. With more than half of PCC's student population receiving some sort of financial aid, your charitable donations go a long way in helping these students achieve their dreams.

This is a family event for runners and walkers. All proceeds will go directly to "7 Billion Reasons", a global non-profit organization, currently working to share the love of Jesus Christ among impoverished children in Busia, Uganda. 7 Billion Reasons is in the early stages of developing a community campus that will include a Christian school, a medical clinic, a church, and farmland. The goal of this 5k is to raise money to assist with the purchase of the land and the initial building phase. Check-in will take place at the Kiwanis Shelter at Bond Park in Cary. The 5k is on a certified course traversing various trails. The race will NOT be timed but prizes will be awarded for the top 5 male and top 5 female finishers. Swansboro Rotary Oyster Roast

Swansboro Rotary Club’s 35th annual Oyster Roast and Pig-Out will be March 15, 5-8 p.m.
Tickets purchased in advance are $45. They allow entry to one of the club’s most popular fundraisers, an all-you-can-eat extravaganza that takes place indoors at the Rotary Civic Center in Swansboro.
Machine Gun, a popular and well-known variety band from Wilmington, will provide musical entertainment.
Diners are reminded to bring an oyster knife and a glove. In addition to oysters, the menu includes roasted pig, fried fish, clam chowder, hot dogs with chili, cole slaw, hush puppies, condiments and a variety of beverages.
The civic center, which is on West Main Street Extension off NC 24 behind Family Care Pharmacy, provides a spacious indoor area for diners. It will be equipped with several large screen televisions tuned to the NCAA basketball tournament.
Tickets purchased at the door will cost $50. Tickets for children 15 and younger are $20, available only at the door.
Proceeds from the event are used to benefit youth scholarships and projects in Onslow and Carteret counties.
Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Swansboro Rotary Club or at the Civic Center. Tickets can also be purchased at Darden Insurance and Century 21 Waterway Realty in Swansboro and at Eastern Mortgage in Emerald Isle.

Great Glow Run benefitting Easter Seals UCP

The Easter Seals UCP Great Glow Run will light up Greenville in support of individuals and families managing disabilities and mental health challenges. The illuminated 5K evening race will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Town Common. Check-in begins at 6:00 p.m. and the race starts at 8:00 p.m. Participants will don glow and LED gear as they join other enthused runners on an eye-catching, glimmering course.

Active duty military are eligible for a special $25 registration; team discounts also available. FACES OF COMPASSION GALA & AUCTION
A red carpet gala event will be held on Saturday evening, March 16, 2013, to benefit the Foundation for Hospice. The Faces of Compassion Gala & Auction is the area’s only mask event. Over 100 ceramic masks, decorated and painted by eastern NC’s artists, crafters, and other creative talents, will be auctioned. These unique masks have been exhibited at the Council for the Arts in Jacksonville and are currently on display at the Art Exposure in Hampstead and will be there until the first week in March.
The gala will feature a concert performance by Ocracoke Island’s award winning Molasses Creek Band who have recorded 12 albums and been performed on National Public Radio’s Prairie Home Companion. Special guests for the evening will be Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA. In addition, jazz saxophonist, Richard Lawton will entertain with smooth jazz. This red carpet event will offer up heavy h’ordeuvres and lots of fun as attendees compete in a silent and a “live” auction for the masks of their choice.
This fundraising event will be held at the Infant of Prague Parish Hall in Jacksonville and will begin at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 16th. Tickets are $25 per person. Tickets can be purchased in Jacksonville, Kinston, Hampstead, and New Bern at the Continuum Home Care & Hospice office. Tickets will also be sold at the door; however, seating is limited. All proceeds from the Faces of Compassion Gala & Auction will go to the Foundation for Hospice, a nonprofit agency which provides financial assistance to terminally ill persons and offers grief support programs to their families including Camp Butterfly.

Eastern Carolina Artificial Reef Association Fund Raiser

The Eastern Carolina Artificial Reef Association (ECARA) will be holding its annual Fund Raising dinner on Saturday, February 23rd from 6:00pm-9:00pm. This year's keynote speaker is Mike Daniels, one of the finders of the Queen Anne's Revenge. There will be exhibits, silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle, entertainment, and shows by the aquarium staff. ECARA is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise money to promote the understanding of the economic and ecological benefits of Artificial Reefs in Eastern North Carolina and to raise money for creating new artificial reefs to sustain a healthy marine environment for the enjoyment of SCUBA Divers and Sports Fisherman along the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.
There is no charge for admission, although any donation will be appreciated. Advance registration with ECARA will gain you access to the Sound Side Hall where a wonderful dinner will be catered by The Crabs Claw along with an open bar. New ECARA members may purchase a membership and register for dinner for $30.

23rd Annual Shrimp Feast, Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 at the Eason’s Crossroads Ballpark.
The Filling Station of Roberonville, NC will prepare the food, shrimp , fish planks, coleslaw and baked beans. Food will be served from 4:30-7:30 pm
All you care to eat! The Canyon Road Band will provide music to dance the night away.
Tickets are $25 per person and should be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at the Gates County Courthouse in Gatesville and at Hofler Tractor in Sunbury.
