Subject: Women’s Ministries Day Celebration
Your presence is requested to join us on Saturday, May 17, 2014, in celebrating the ministries of women in our community and church. May 17th is also Armed Forces Day. Women from each branch of the Military present will also be recognized. Our theme for this occasion is “Soldier’s for Christ”.

We are planning a full day of activity starting with the 9:30 a.m. service with songs and lesson study. The 11:O’clock worship service will begin with the entrance of the Path Finders from Fayetteville N.C Seventh Day Adventist church and one designated representative from each branch of the Armed Forces leading in the pulpit guest. The female speaking on behalf of the Armed Forces, Vianna Jones, is a thirty year Veteran of the Navy, a VA Nurse and Minister. All Armed Force personnel present will be recognized.

The community person to be honored will be, Anne Whitehead, who was very instrumental in the early 60’s in the fight to enforce the 1964 Civil Rights Bill in Lenoir County. The Bill was signed 50 years ago this April.

One of the mother’s/deaconesses of our church, Ruby McGee, will also be honored for her many years of dedication & wisdom as a faithful soldier of the ministry.

Our speaker for worship service is, Nyasha Dunkley from Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Dunkley is an awesome young lady with a powerful message. “It’s Time To Fight”. We had to book her a year in advance.
After service we have planned a catered meal that will contain a nourishing, healthy lunch with salads, vegetables, entrees and desserts.

The evening program will begin shortly after the meal. We are planning an evening of spiritual fun & entertainment. Minister/Attorney Evelyn Dove will be our speaker with an inspirational/motivational topic, “Boot Camp for Christ”.

We are planning to give every female a gift. We would appreciate your support with a donation to help finance the program. If you desire to contribute to this cause a donor form is attached.
Please make plans now to join us in this full day of celebration, fellowship & fun. We look forward to spending the day with you in Spirit & in Truth. Please come expecting a blessing.
