Emily Minor Headlines Alive at Five

North Carolina native, Emily Minor will be the headlining act at the next Alive at Five Concert taking place on Friday, June 6th. Known as the fresh new face of country, Ms. Minor first grabbed attention when she was in the top fifty finalists of Fox’s hit series, American Idol. She’s currently living in Nashville where she’s writing and recording music.

Emily Minor’s self-titled EP is a lively collection of convincing stories, undeniable emotions and astounding vocals that is as honest and lovable as Ms. Minor is herself. Having written four out of the six recorded songs, Ms. Minor is quickly catching the interest of new listeners and impressing significant members of the music industry. Ms. Minor’s vibrant personality and ability to stay grounded and true to herself make it difficult not to fall in love with her music.

Ms. Minor said, “My favorite place to be is on the road. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing familiar faces in the crowd singing your songs with you.” Fans coming to the June Alive at Five concert can count on a high energy show filled with original songs as well as some of her classics from influential icons.

All of the Alive at Five concerts are free to the public take place from 5pm to 8pm at Jaycee Park at 807 Shepard Street on the waterfront of Downtown Morehead City. Outside beverages are not allowed inside the designated area but beverages will be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. The Alive at Five concerts are sponsored by R. A. Jeffrey’s and Bud Light, the Boathouse at Front Street Village, Collins, Inc. at Front Street Village, Crystal Coast Boats, Bob 93.3, WRNS 95.1, Wells Fargo, Twice the Ice, Potash Corp of Aurora, Chalk and Gibbs Insurance, Portside Marina, Sound Bank, Starling Marina, Trident Funding and the Town of Morehead City. The concerts are hosted by the Downtown Morehead City Revitalization Association (DMCRA) and their volunteers.

Future Alive at Five concerts will take place on June 19-Spare Change, July 3- Liquid Pleasure, July 17- Mikele Buck, August 1- Band of Oz, August 29- Jupiter Jones.

The DMCRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring Morehead City to a vibrant economic, cultural, historic, social and recreational center. In conjunction with the City of Morehead, the DMCRA stages the Morehead City July 4th Fireworks program as well as the Christmas parade and the Crystal Coast Boat Show.
