Kayaking the Contentnea Location – ATFS Conservancy
8:00 am - 1:00 pm Cost - $25 -- $15 with your own kayak
Bring your camera as you paddle from ATFS to Grifton through picturesque wildlife settings which allow you to get up-close and personal with Nature. Register at the website www.atimeforscience.org or call 252-746-4470.

Flower Crown Workshop Location – ATFS Nature Center
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Cost - Free
Just the thing for Mother’s Day: come out and celebrate National Wildflower Week by making beautiful flower crowns for mom and grandma.

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm Cost – Free
Join the Carolina Skies Astronomy Club at A Time for Science for a planetarium show and a night of stargazing. Telescopes provided!

Monday, May 9
Transit of Mercury Location – Greenville Town Commons
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Cost - Free
For this event, last seen in 2006, the planet Mercury will again be visible travelling across the face of the Sun on Monday May 9th. Bring a lunch and picnic on the Town Commons while watching this rather unique celestial occurrence through specially equipped and protected telescopes. You can also gain a perspective on space by walking along the “Solar System Trail,” a scale model of the solar system.
