Fall Meeting, October 25,



The fall 2014 meeting of the Northeast North Carolina Daffodil Society will be held at the NC Currituck County Extension, 160 Community Way, Barco, NC, on Saturday October 25, 2014. Registration for the meeting will start at 9:30 pm with the meeting called to order at 10:00 am, Saturday October 25, 2014 until 2:00 pm. Come and enjoy the day with daffodils.

The NENCDS Membership Meeting start with a short business meeting followed by recognition of new members and those members that worked at the show. Our feature speaker is Ms. Glenna Graves American Daffodil Society (ADS) member, ADS accredited Daffodil Judge and Instructor. Glenna has been show Chairperson as well as President of the Garden Club of Virginia, and Washington Daffodil Society. She has been very active with ADS and many of its National and East Coast Daffodil Shows. Ms. Graves will speak on growing Daffodils show daffodils. The speaker will be followed by our bulb exchange and a pot luck lunch. The public is invited. Membership is encouraged.

Onslow County Public Library is hosting Proposal Writing Basics at the Main Library Branch in Jacksonville March 4 at 1 pm.

Are you new to proposal writing? This class will cover how the proposal fits into the overall grantseeking process. Learn what to include in a standard proposal to a foundation, tips for creating a standard proposal, and what funders expect to see in your proposal. We will discuss how to best communicate with funders during the grant process and we will take a look at sample proposals that earned grant funding.

Onslow County Public Library is a Foundation Center Funding Information Network member. We offer print and digital resources for nonprofits as well as quarterly classes.

Nonprofits are invited to join us Tuesday, March 4 at 1pm. Registration is required.
