Greenville Police say a man led them on two different chases Monday morning. The sequence of events began with the alarm going off at Blockbuster Video on Greenville Blvd.

When officers responded to the alarm, police say they found a man trying to break into the video store by ramming a car into the front doors. The man drove off in his car when police arrived, officials say. Officers chased the car down Greenville Blvd., until the suspect's car crashed into a parked van near Hooker Rd. Police say the suspect then took off running.

Officers say they caught up with the suspect and arrested 30-year-old La-Quann Sha-Riff Perry of Greenville. He's facing ten charges.

Police say the car Perry was driving was stolen from a local auto body shop.

I must admit that this did make me laugh too. I'm glad that nobody was hurt! I guess he was thinking if he took movies rather than rent them, the fees would never catch up with him?? Hmm...oh well...he's seen his last movie for a while I think!

is it me or did this story make anyone else laugh this morning. I wish I could have been driving by and seen this man crashing his car into a blockbuster... ya know a brick would do the same amount of damage! It is sad however that with the hard economic times we are in we will see more of these incidents. WTG Greenville PD!
