Police want to know if you've seen this man they think might be in Onslow County. The composite sketch is of a man police in Wilmington say attacked a young woman and stole her car early Saturday morning.

Police say the 20-year-old was flagged down by the man, and she stopped, thinking she recognized him. Once in the car, the woman realized she did not know the man, and he forced her to drive around. Wilmington Police say she eventually crashed her car on purpose and ran. The man caught up with her, police say, and beat her until she freed herself again. Police say, the man took her car.

The car, a white Jetta, turned up in a salon parking lot in Snead's Ferry in Onslow County. That's leading lawmen to think the suspect could be in that area.

In working with the artist, the victim described her attacker as appearing to be of mixed race or perhaps Hispanic, with black hair, brown eyes, brown complexion, 19 – 22 years of age, 175 – 185 pounds, 5’8” – 5’10”, stocky build.

Police say the same man is responsible for sexual assaults.
