Bob Trihy remembers when he got the "weather bug." It was around age 9, on New York's Long Island, where he grew up. And that's where he first witnessed many examples of nature's full fury, from classic coastal storms, otherwise known as Nor'easters, to sometimes devastating hurricanes rolling up the East Coast.
Bob started his career in Jackson, Wyoming working for a radio station as a disc jockey. After that, he shared his weather expertise with television viewers in Grand Junction, Colorado and in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Bob joined the WITN team in June 2008. He currently anchors weather on WITN News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on the weekends, as well as WITN News at noon several days a week.
Bob lives in Greenville with his Golden Retreiver Charley, who was named after a hurricane!
Bob's favorite hobbies include: snow skiing, mountain biking, and golfing.
