Ken Heineck is WITN's New Bern Bureau Chief. He covers New Bern, Craven County and other areas in the southern portion of Eastern Carolina.

Ken knew long before he attended Florida State University that he wanted to be a journalist. He began as a sports intern at NECN in Boston, but developed a love for news after moving to North Carolina.

He also anchored the weeknight newscasts and worked closely with the company's radio division in live broadcasts.
