Cassandra Bell anchors WITN-7 News at Sunrise Weekends. She is no stranger to Eastern North Carolina or the news business. A Greenville native and graduate of East Carolina University, Bell started her broadcasting career in 1992 as a production assistant at WNCT, eventually feeling a tug toward the news department there where she served as a reporter/anchor.
On her first tour at WITN-TV in 1998, Cassandra served as Assignment Editor for one year before answering the call to motherhood and leaving the news business to become a stay-at-home mom. During the next six years, Cassandra published four mainstream novels.
She and her family live in Pitt County.
