The search continues for a missing Kinston man, who was last seen Saturday afternoon.

Miller Jones is a 62 year old black man and stands 5'9" tall. He weighs 160 pounds and has gray hair.

Monday crews, including a Highway Patrol helicopter, searched for Jones. That search continued again Tuesday, centered on Neuse Road.

K-9 teams are assisting in the search as well a boat searching along the Neuse River.

Emergency workers say there were some possible sightings of Jones around the Southwest Christian Church, so crews from a half dozen departments are searching a mile radius of the church on foot for the man.

Police say Jones stutters when he speaks and walks with a shuffle step. A statewide Silver Alert was issued for the man this past weekend.

Jones was last scene on the 400 block of Manning Street.

If anyone has seen Jones, they should call Kinston police at 252-559-6119.

Thanks concerned citizen...I agree with you. My wife is working first hand in this search and I know many others that are also. I think it's so trivial for Paul to be worried about one small word. I say get up Paul being you're not "elderly" and go help search.

OMG Paul-don't you have something better to do than this!! My husband & some guys from our local fire dept. searched ALL day long yesterday for this man, through mud, swamp, briars, you name it!! Any person that would have something so trivial to say about this search is nothing more than an idiot!!! Put your 62 years of life to use & grow UP!!! Since you don't consider ur self elderly, how bout go help them search!!!
