One small town kid from Beaufort County will soon be a big time Maryland Terripin after playing with a national powerhouse prep school in Virginia over the past two years.
Mychal Parker is currently rated one of the best high school prospects in the country. The 6'7 senior guard is even rated by ESPN as the 42nd best high school player in the country.
"its a blessing, said Parker. I can't even complain about that, keep working hard. It's a blessing from God."
The former Washington standout left eastern carolina for Miller Prep School in hopes of making it big. After commiting with the Terps, Parker's next step is to be a star in the ACC.
The Miller School participated in the Washington Daily News Holiday Showcase this past weekend to give Parker the chance to play in front of friends and family for the first time in over two years.
Now friends and family will be able to watch the ACC version of Mychal Parker at the University of Maryland.
