Rose High School freshman, Lauren Coltrain was diagnosed with ocular albinism as a child. A condition where the eyes lack melanin pigment enabeling the patient to see far away, while the skin and hair show almost normal coloration. But Lauren isn't letting that stop her on the court or in the classroom.
"I know that I have to do things different but I can still do the same things everyone else can do, said Coltrain. I just have to do it a different way."
Lauren plays golf as well, and on the golf course lauren uses a range finder to help her locate the ball and hole. She exudes an excellent attitude and outlook even though her eye condition limits her in many areas of her life.
