A Wallace native will be competing during the All-Star Game festivities in the second week of July at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
Amber Dixon is a national finalist in the Pitch, Hit and Run competition. Dixon is one of the top three girls in the 13-14 year old division.
The rising senior at Wallace-Rose Hill High School will also be catching fly balls during the Home Run Derby held on Monday, July 9th.
The All-Star Game is the following day at 8 pm.
