Seahawks Come Up Short To Bishop McGuinness

The Bishop McGuinness Villains grabbed their 7th consecutive state title in girls high school basketball Saturday, topping Southside 60-44.

The championship set a new record in North Carolina high school hoops for most consecutive state titles in either boys or girls.

The Seahawks were led by veteran guard Katisha Hyman who scored a team-high 15 points en route to being named MVP of the runner-up team.
