Former D.H. Conley centerfielder Tyler Garrett is our newest WITN Pepsi Player of the Week.
Garrett is currently playing with Pitt County Post 39 Legion. He's also toughing out a hamate bone injury in his wrist that he's had since the middle of February. After a cast didn't heal the bone properly, Garrett opted to put off surgery so he could enjoy his senior year with the Vikings.
The Barton College recruit is scheduled to have surgery in the middle of July. To hear how he's been dealing with the injury and his determination to get a state title in legion baseball, click on the video link attached to the story.
