Rocky Mount Prep senior Deshawn Freeman is our newest WITN Pepsi Player Of The Week.
Freeman makes his presence known on the court with a strong athletic ability near the hoop. He was named the Eastern Regional MVP after Rocky Mount Prep dispatched East Carteret in the finals.
Part of what drives Freeman is an opportunity to finish what Prep started last year. He had to sit on the bench with an injury as his team lost to Plymouth in the playoffs. Freeman is back healthy and will lead his team into their state championship game Saturday against Winston-Salem Prep.
