North Pitt senior wrestler Demarcus Whitehurst is our newest WITN Pepsi Player Of The Week.

Whitehurst is a three-sport athlete for the Panthers in playing football, wrestling and track.

He's only been wrestling since his sophomore year but has quickly established himself as one of the top 5 wrestlers in the state in his weight class. He's currently undefeated at 18-0.

Whitehurst also excels in the classroom as he sports a 3.9 GPA. He says he wants to go to UNC-Chapel Hill next year and play football for head coach Larry Fedora.

Whitehurst's ability to succeed on and off the mat makes him a perfect selection as our newest WITN Pepsi Player Of The Week.
