Former ECU Linebacker Named SE Raleigh High School Head Coach

Raleigh -- Former ECU linebacker Marvin Burke has been named the new head coach at Southeast Raleigh High School.

Burke lettered at ECU from 1993 - 1996 under former Pirate head coach Steve Logan.

He began his coaching career in his home state of Florida but also coached in eastern North Carolina as an assistant at Washington, Edenton and D.H. Conley High Schools.

At Conley Burke worked under head coach Daniel Finn, an East Carolina graduate, who is the current the athletics Director at Southeast Raleigh.

Burke was the defensive coordinator at Southeast under Finn for three years. he left after the 2008 season to take the head coaching job at Lewisville High School in South Carolina.
