Player Of The Week: "Double Uno"

Farmville -- Football season is over at Farmville Central High School in Pitt County and for one of their star players, senior safety Jaquan Blount. This dynanite player knicknamed "double uno" is double the athlete during the games.

"He works hard all the time, said Farmville Central head coach Scott Gardner. He plays hard all the time. He's a very competitive, very nice young man who has great athleticism. He can catch the ball he can run the ball he can throw the ball he can do a little bit of everything."

For the past four years Blount has split his time from offense to defense but found a home at safety the last two seasons. During the 2009 season Blount has scored 11 touchdowns and is the second leading tackler on the team with 107 tackles and five interceptions.

"I love playing defense, said Blount. I like hitting people and stopping people. I could work harder I could always work harder."
