NC High School Loses Battle To Keep Playing Football

WNCN-TV is reporting Terry Sanford High School is out of the playoffs.

The station reports a judge ruled that the Fayetteville school's season is over.

Representatives of Terry Sanford High School were in court on Monday to argue that the team deserved the chance to continue its run in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association playoffs.

Terry Sanford's team was ruled ineligible by the athletic association after the discovery of problems with a player's credits and attendance. After the team was restored to the playoffs, Terry Sanford defeated Pine Forest 48-29.
