2 Onslow County Soccer Teams Headed To State Finals

Southwest Onslow and Jacksonville won Eastern Regional Final games on Tuesday night and will play for state soccer titles Saturday in Raleigh.

Southwest Onslow beat visiting Franklin Academy 4-1 in the Class 1A state Eastern Regional finals. The Stallions advance to the schools first ever men's state championship soccer game to face Lake Norman Charter. The game will be played at N.C. State's Dail Soccer Field. Game times have yet to be determined.

Jacksonville will play for the Class 3A state title Saturday against Hickory.

The Cardinals rolled past Cardinal Gibbons 6-2 Tuesday night on the road.
